Christopher Porter Banister, Jr. is a native of Anniston, °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ where he graduated from The Donoho School. Porter spent his college years in Virginia at Hampden-Sydney College. There he was active in many campus activities including serving in the Student Senate before being elected President of the Student Government.
After graduating with a degree in Political Science, Porter moved to Montgomery, °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ where he held positions in both the Legislative and Executive branches of State Government. He later worked as Director of Governmental Affairs for the Business Council of °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ.
He now serves as the Vice Chancellor for State Affairs for The °ÅÀÖÊÓƵ System.
He is a member of numerous professional and social clubs and is married to the former Virginia Bear of Montgomery.
